No problem threatens our shared future as much as the human-caused changes to the planet's climate. Posts on the issue, offering important building blocks to understanding and strategies on how to respond, personally and collectively, can be found at Frugaline.org. Frugaline, "powering tomorrow, today", is like gasoline except it is free.
Frugaline.org's predecessor was called SqueezeClimate.org. The idea is to squeeze fossil fuels out of our economy by pushing down on demand through greater efficiency and conservation, while expanding production of energy from renewable sources. Interestingly, one of President Obama's appointments as U.S. Secretary of Energy, Earnest Moniz, used the "squeeze" metaphor when he was nominated for the position: “What I believe is if we squeeze down on carbon, we squeeze up on cost, and it brings along a push toward efficiency; it brings along with it a push toward clean technology; it brings along with it a push toward security,”
